Hi Matt,

I had done nothing on the servo. But I can name the servo brand for you. Coxa servo is from E-Sky (EK2-0508) 1.0kg/cm helicopter servo. The femur and tibia is from Jo9toy (SG-09) 1.6kg/cm.
The reason i choose E-sky servo is due to my place available and it is the cheapest one.

Nice work, especially on "light" servos.
I guess they're geared for speed, rather than torque.

Hi Matt,

Actually the Jo9Toy servo i bought 2nd hand from my friend. The source is from Taiwan.
I had tried to search the source on net also, but get nothing from net.

I found there is another brand,Tower Pro SG-90,almost same type.
Maybe the supplier buy from Tower Pro, and rename it and resale it. Or they buy their technology to manufacture their self, thats why the model number almost same. TowerPro SG-90. Jo9Toy SG-09.
Sorry, I can't help you on that.

Did you still use the PIC16F84?

Hi Sonuk,

Yup, I'm still using PIC16F84A. Because currently I only have the special made PIC16F84A programmer board.
For further improvement, I will choose higher performance PIC. Since currently the PIC almost out of memory already, and it only enough for me to squeeze the forward gate motion code only.

QSR-X1 current consumption

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71Oxn23ePTQ&NR=1

Hi all,

Some update of my quad clip. My quad current consumption. When walking about 1 amp. Quite high.
I believe Hexapod with normal size servo even higher current.
And I found that the servo keep running will easily heat up.
