MSR-H01 Hexapod questtion

Postby snuffy » Tue Sep 30, 2008 12:00 pm

Hello

im considering to buy MSR-H01, do i need to buy any servo brackets if so how many and of what type im gone use HSR-5995TG, also what servo can you recomend for the horizontal servos i want to make my bot to move fast kind of like on the example movie where you speeded up the movie 4 times .. or its just not possible do that at this time.

which electronic parts do i need to buy for my MSR-H01, im kind of new to this have a boebot which i was thinking to dismantle and use the stamp to control sensors and such further more is it possible to make forcecomplience with this robot with out any major hacking to your engin or you can controll this through the stamp -> walk engin ?

5995's should be fine for the femur and tibia servos, you will need HS-225BB or HS-225MG for the coxa servo. Or you could use the digital equivalent HS-5245. I would suggest at least the HS-225MG as your fitting 5995's.

If you wish to use the HexEngine, you will need a p.Brian-SMB , p.Brain-HexEngine & p.Brian-RJ232 cable. You can then control the hexapod via a serial port from a stamp or off board PC. The force compliance is not currently supported in this version of HexEngine, but may be a future ad on.

Hi,

No servo brackets required. :)

I use different size servos for the coxa joint because you don't need as much power for this joint, plus it makes a much small coxa block, which is better for the mechanics and aesthetics... in my opinion.

My V4c hexapod which became iC also used a similar set-up, and I guess I have stuck with it as people seemed to like that design.
