Black Button Head Screws

Postby No1_sonuk » Mon Nov 10, 2008 1:57 am

In case you want to "hide" the screws on your servos, and/or your black anodised MSR-H01, I've found a supplier of Black button head hex socket screws:

http://cpc.farnell.com/

The search path is:
Fasteners, Fixings & Site Maintenance > Fasteners & Fixings > Screws & Screw Accessories > Button

I've dug out the code numbers for screws shown in the MSR-H01 assembly guide (Prices shown are for a pack of 25):
  • M3 x 10 FN00247 £2.56
  • M4 x 10 FN00250 £2.02
The M3 x 16 needed for the coxa pivot isn't listed, but that one's "out of sight" anyway. They do list an M3 x 12, but that's too short.
There are also no black nuts listed on CPC's site.

RS also list the same black screw sizes, but in packs of 100, and still no black nuts.

Black nuts are as rare as rocking horse poo! :)

Do you have any pictures of your assembled hex yet?

Not yet.
I've been a bit busy building a 3-servo hex based on Lynxmotion's now-discontinued EH1. That's why I found these screws - I was getting some parts from CPC and came across the black screws.
