Help - Micro servo based hexapod

Postby robotsmani » Tue Feb 19, 2013 9:31 am

Hi,
I planned to build a hexapod using micro servos. I already having the following parts
Arduino mega and arduino uno
32 servo controller
and lots of micro servos

Now i want to build the mechanical parts, i searched on the net to find the blue print or exact measurement/drawings for micro servo legs etc. But i didn't get.

I have a dremel tool with router table and bought the 3mm acrylic sheet as well. Is there any other way to cut the acrylic sheet. Laser cutting may difficult to find here (Bangalore, India)

Please help me on drawing for legs and mechanics for micro servo and to cut the acrylic legs.

Thanks,

Hi,

I can't help with the drawings, but you may have problems cutting the acrylic with your dremel, the dremel cutter may overheat and melt the acrylic. I would suggest using cutting fluid to cool the dremel or try cutting on a bandsaw.
