HEXAPOD ART GALLERY

Postby wattsie » Mon Nov 09, 2009 10:35 pm

OK, so we have all spent countless nights working, fettling, tinkering and programming, got excited, got frustrated, and missed some sleep, but ultimately were all very proud of our creations and the differing personalities that our little hex's are now taking......

I would image that we all have a load of photos to document the build design process, the build, the first steps etc etc, if your anything like me, you've shown family and friends, people at work etc, even if they don't care.... were proud.... so lets have the best picture you have of your hex (or maybe a couple)..... lets show everyone who looks on the forum that despite being some clever sh!t, these hex's LOOK cool, and can be classed as almost a form of art!

Sadly there's no 'Turner Prize', or even really a winner, but come on, lets have your best......

** EDIT ** - Just to try and keep the hexapod art gallery exactly what it is, and not a projects post, please limit posts to two images max. Then add a link to a relevant projects page if you have one.

Also to avoid the forum clipping the edge of your image, the best size is between 640x480 and 800x600

This pic is just over a year old, but i quite like it.
I'll shoot a more recent pic - things have changed a little - and upload that when i get chance.

Any footage of it in action?

Loving the T-Hex Zenta, any footage of it on the move?

I built this 4 axis hex a couple of months back, however, I was really disappointed with the performance of the RX-10/28 servos I used, and currently it collects dust on the shelf. This is obviously just a render of the hex, I currently don't have any bling pictures of it. Size wise, its the biggest I have built so far, at just over 500mm wide.

Thanks plingboot and Matt!

Yes, the John Deere walking tractor was also an inspiration ;)

I love your big hexapod Matt, I didn't know we had so similar ideas ;) Maybe the RX64 would be better? Very much more expensive though. Great work Matt, as always!
